WeddingDecor.com ("we," "our," or "us") operates the AI-powered event design studio at studio.weddingdecor.com (the "Service"). Our business is located in Ontario, Canada.

a) Account Information

When you create an account via Clerk (our authentication provider), we collect your name and email address.

b) Uploaded Content

We collect and store:

• Venue photos you upload
• Inspiration and decor images you upload
• AI-generated design visualizations created through your use of the Service
• Color palette choices and event details (event type, project name)

These files are stored on secure cloud servers and are linked to your account.

c) Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We retain a Stripe customer ID to manage your billing relationship.

d) Usage and Technical Data

We automatically collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

e) Communications

If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence.

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Process payments and manage your Studio Pass or credits
• Authenticate your account and maintain session security
• Generate AI design visualizations using your uploaded photos and inputs
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your uploaded photos or generated images to train AI models without your explicit consent.

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

• Contract: To provide the Service you signed up for
• Legitimate interests: To operate and improve our Service, prevent fraud, and ensure security
• Legal obligation: To comply with applicable law
• Consent: Where we rely on consent (e.g., marketing), you may withdraw it at any time

We share your information only with:

• Clerk - authentication and user account management
• Stripe - payment processing
• OpenAI - your venue and decor photos are transmitted to OpenAI's API to generate AI visualizations. OpenAI's use of API data is governed by their API Data Usage Policy.
• Google Cloud (object storage) - secure cloud storage for uploaded and generated images

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority.

We retain your account data and uploaded content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data and uploaded files within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.

Payment records and transaction logs may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and financial regulations.

Canadian Users (PIPEDA)

You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information. Contact us at privacy@weddingdecor.com to make a request.

EU/UK Users (GDPR)

In addition to the above, you have the right to:

• Data portability - receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Restrict processing - request that we limit how we use your data

We use essential cookies and session tokens required to operate the Service (authentication, session management). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure cloud storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your data may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including relying on providers who are compliant with applicable data protection standards.
